The two lovers meet at Pandarus’s house. Troilus faints at Criseyde’s anger and Pandarus reminds Criseyde not to make a noise. The expression “we be lost” is focal in this instance: Criseyde knew nothing in advance about this secret meeting; yet, Pandarus obviously includes her in the conspiracy through the term “we.”
