Although Criseyde agrees to meet Troilus the following day, Pandarus forces her to do so that night, claiming that Troilus’ life will be at risk if she refuses to meet him. See also my comments of ‘cruel’ (adj., Tr2.337 and 2.435), where Pandarus threatens Criseyde to show mercy.
