Both in this stanza and in its counterpart, the heroine tries to decline Diomede’s court. However, this detail in which Boccaccio’s Criseida stresses that she is not qualified to be loved by such a noble man like Diomede is omitted by Chaucer. See also my comment of ‘bisi’ (adj., Tr5.989).
