In the text of Riverside Chaucer, three exclamation marks are used in this stanza, respectively after ‘calle’, ‘I’ and ‘wroughte’. These marks indicate that Criseyde is really surprising when Pandarus enters her room, and Pandarus is really nervous lest that Criseyde will wake her maids up. See also my comment of ‘dere’ (adj., Tr3.494).
