Pandarus states that Criseyde’s refusal to accept the letter is a great wonder and foolish behavior. To assure her, he stresses that he will never deliver a letter that may hurt her. However, in the source, Pandaro notes that Criseida actually wants the letter but pretends to be annoyed and vexed.
